Everest Base Camp
(Kala Pattar Trek)
Level of Difficulty: Moderately Strenuous
| Day 01 |
Arrive in Kathmandu, transfer to hotel |
| Day 02 |
Rest day and sightseeing tour in the Kathmandu valley |
| Day 03 |
Flight to Lukla (2,800 m, 9,200 ft) where many Everest expeditions start. Half day
trek to Phakding |
| Day 04 |
Trek to Namche Bazar (3,440 m, 11,300 ft), the main Sherpa village in the Everest
Region |
| Day 05 |
Rest day to acclimatize to the altitude. Time to explore the area; visit monastery and
Everest National Park Exhibit. |
| Day 06 |
Trek to Tengpoche (3,867 m, 12,700 ft), with many great views of the world's highest
peaks. |
| Day 07 |
Trek to Pheriche (4,240 m, 13,900 ft), where we will get a chance to visit the oldest
Gompa (monastery) in the Khumbu Region. |
| Day 08 |
Rest day to acclimatize. Time to visit Nangkartshang Monastery and enjoy the
incredible views of Makalu (5th highest mountain in the world). |
| Day 09 |
Trek to Lobuje (4,930 m, 16,200 ft), with great view of Nuptse. |
| Day 10 |
Visit Kala Pattar (5,545 m, 18,200 ft), with unbelievable and up close views of
Everest maybe the best viewing point in the world. |
| Day 11 |
Trek to Everest Base Camp (5,360 m, 17,600 ft), the starting point for many climbing
expeditions of Everest.Trek to Dingboche (4,410 m, 14,500 ft), where the mountain views
are outstanding. |
| Day 12 |
Trek to Tengpoche |
| Day 13 |
Trek to Khumjung (3,790 m, 12,400 ft), with an option to visit Khumjung Monastery and
the Hillary Primary School (founded by Sir Edmund Hillary). |
| Day 14 |
Trek to Ghat (2,550 m, 8,400 ft), where we camp by the river. |
| Day 15 |
Trek to Lukla |
| Day 16 |
Flight to Kathmandu |

| Day 17 |
Private chartered bus to rafting starting point. Half day of white water river
rafting. Camp on the river bank. |
| Day 18 |
Full day of white water rafting to Chitwan National Park Island Jungle Camp. |
| Day 19 |
Full day of jungle program in Chitwan National Park, including elephant safari,
viewing of wildlife, and canoe trip (watch rhinos, crocodiles, and possibly tigers). |
| Day 20 |
Return to Kathmandu by private chartered bus. Time to explore and shop in Kathmandu. |
| Day 21 |
Departure to the US |
